PUTRAJAYA: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry has launched Servis Ihsan Madani @ Petronas AutoExpert (SIM@PAX), offering discounts on car lubricant oil.

Minister Datuk Seri Armizan Ali said this initiative will occur during every major festival in the country, starting from the upcoming Chinese New Year between Jan 24 and 28.

"This new programme under the Rahmah Madani umbrella aims to assist low-income groups by reducing vehicle maintenance costs," he said.

Through collaboration between KPDN and PETRONAS, the programme offers car maintenance packages at existing PETRONAS AutoExpert workshops nationwide and discounts on mineral and semi-synthetic lubricants, with prices 10% to 30% lower than current market rates.

Armizan said SIM@PAX will be implemented during each major festival season in Malaysia, including Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidifitri, Hari Raya Aidiladha, Pesta Kaamatan, Hari Gawai, Deepavali, Christmas Day, and National Day.

He added that this initiative is part of KPDN’s new direction for 2025, which includes several strategies.

"To ensure these focus shifts can be strategically realised, they will be driven through four core drivers, emphasising the role and collaboration of various stakeholders in line with the whole-of-nation and whole-of-government approaches," he said.

The core values are governmental inclusivity and excellence, industrial commitments, governance determination and aspirations, and public participation.

Also present at the monthly assembly were Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Fuziah Salleh and KPDN secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohd Sayuthi Bakar.
