Cops hunting for escaped detainee in Tangkak

TANGKAK: Police are looking for a 38-year-old drug suspect who escaped detention.

Tangkak OCPD Supt Roslan Mohd Talib said Mohd Saifulnizam Zakaria fled from custody at 1.30pm on Wednesday (Jan 15).

“The suspect is slender and dark-skinned, and about 170cm tall.

"He was initially arrested for investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

“Efforts are under way to hunt him down, including deploying the K9 unit at all of Tangkak’s entry and exit points,” he said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 16).
