MetMalaysia: Continuous rain warning for three states starting Jan 16


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for three states starting this Thursday (Jan 16).

MetMalaysia forecasted that heavy rainfall would affect several areas in Sarawak including Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit) and Bintulu from Thursday (Jan 16) to Saturday (Jan 18).

Similar weather conditions are expected in Sabah, specifically in the West Coast (Ranau and Kota Belud), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Sandakan) and Kudat from Thursday to Friday (Jan 17).

Continuous rain is also anticipated in several areas in Johor including Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru, from Friday to Sunday (Jan 19).- Bernama
