ACTRESS Nelissa Nizam said she will resolve her strained relationship with her mother through a private meeting, reported Berita Harian.

This comes after Nelissa previously hinted that she had lived in an abusive environment under her mother, Ayu Manaf.

“She is my mother, so I need to meet her first before I can share what happened.

“I have managed to contact her and my family has been very supportive, but I need to wait for her to be ready as I don’t know her schedule,” Nelissa said.

She also refused to comment further on her previous claims, saying that it was a private issue.

Nelissa’s claims during an interview last month led to Ayu being criticised by concerned fans.

Ayu has denied the allegations, claiming that she was a victim of abuse herself while caring for Nelissa when she was younger.
