MetMalaysia Issues thunderstorm warning for four states until 9pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning, with heavy rain and strong winds expected across four states until 9pm on Saturday (Dec 14).

Severe weather conditions are expected to impact parts of Terengganu (Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang (Jerantut and Kuantan) and Johor (Kota Tinggi).

In Sarawak, areas forecast to be affected include Sibu (Selangau), Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit (Belaga), Bintulu, and Miri (Subis).

Residents in these areas are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions due to potential hazards posed by adverse weather conditions.

MetMalaysia said it would continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary. The public is encouraged to stay informed through official channels and heed any advisories issued.
