MetMalaysia: Severe weather expected nationwide until 6pm today

PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in parts of Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak until 6pm on Friday (Nov 13).

The Meteorology Malaysia Department (MetMalaysia) issued a warning at 2.45pm of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Kedah (Kuala Muda), Perak (Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Raub, Kuantan and Pekan) and Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor and Gombak).

Severe weather is also expected in Sarawak: Samarahan (Simunjan), Betong (Pusa and Betong), Miri (Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang as well as in Sabah: Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan and Keningau), West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud), Sandakan (Tongod), Kudat and Labuan.
