Anwar congratulates FAM eRimau's 'Minbappe' on FIFAe World Cup win


KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated the FAM eRimau squad and national player Ahmad Muhaimin who won the FIFAe World Cup 2024 featuring eFootball Mobile competition.

"Continue to excel and bring glory to the country on the world stage," said Anwar in an X post on Friday (Dec 13).

In the final on Thursday (Dec 12), the FAM eRimau squad defeated Morocco 2-0 to win the tournament.

Malaysia, represented by Ahmad Muhaimin, also known as Minbappe, won the first match 3-0 and the second match 2-0 to be crowned champions, and took home a cash prize of RM80,000.
