Victim found in suitcase believed to be a foreigner

KAJANG: The victim whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase in Cheras Perdana is believed to be a foreigner, say police.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said the victim was in his 20s and 155cm tall.

"He was wearing a shirt and blue shorts and had a silver ring on his right hand.

"He did not have any mark (on his arm) from a BCG shot hence why we believe he is a foreigner," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 11).

He added that an autopsy was conducted at Serdang Hospital on Wednesday.

"There was no other injury on the victim except for a broken nose.

"The body was not missing any parts," he said, adding that the cause of death had yet to be determined pending laboratory analysis.

"We urge those with a missing family member to come forward and identify the body at Serdang Hospital by contacting investigating officer Asst Supt RK Umeh at 012-611 4900 or the nearest police station," he said.

The body stuffed in a black suitcase in Cheras Perdana was discovered by residents at about 11.45am on Tuesday (Dec 10).

The suitcase contained the body of a man, without any identification documents.

The case has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
