Severe weather warning issued for six states


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected over several Malaysian states, including Perak, Kelantan and Terengganu.

The Meteorological Department issued the warning at 3.55pm on Dec 7, 2024.

Inclement weather is anticipated in Perak (Kinta, Kampar and Batang Padang), Kelantan (Gua Musang) and Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman).

Pahang's regions such as Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut, Kuantan and Pekan are also on alert.

In Johor, Mersing and Kota Tinggi are expected to experience adverse weather conditions.

In Sarawak, Sri Aman, Miri and Limbang will be affected until 7pm on Saturday, Dec 7, 2024.
