PETALING JAYA: Former Perlis mentri besar Datuk Seri Azlan Man has been ordered to pay his ex-wife an alimony of RM12,850.

The Hulu Langat Lower Syariah Court ordered Azlan to pay his ex-wife Sova Ali RM12,850 in nafkah idah (maintenance).

Sinar Harian, quoting Sova's lawyer Datuk Zainul Rijal Abu Bakar, reported that the money was due in two payments no later than Jan 30, 2025.

The two were married in Indonesia in 2010 but it was found they had divorced without permission.

Sinar Harian reported that on Aug 25, 2022 the pair officially divorced with a "talak satu" (divorce proclamation) uttered at the Hulu Langat Lower Syariah Court.
