Que Haidar and Linda Jasmine officially divorced

PETALING JAYA: After 15 years of marriage, Que Haidar has announced that he and his wife Linda Jasmine parted ways on July 2.

In an article by mStar, Tengku Iskhan Shah Tengku Haidar, better known by his stage name Que Haidar, 45, said that although the pair are no longer married, they maintain a good relationship.

"The divorce was what God had planned for us.

"I ask everyone to wish the best for Linda and me.

"We are still on good terms; no one wants a divorce.

"Maybe this is the best way. We remain friends for the sake of the children.

"Our divorce took place on July 2," he told mStar.

He shared this information when met at the Anugerah Seri Angkasa (ASA2024), held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on Saturday night (Oct 26).

Meanwhile, the actor declined to reveal the cause of the divorce, stating that it was a personal matter.

Que explained that he was grateful because his children, Ratu and Cleopatra, are mature and have accepted the divorce.

"Household matters are personal matters.

"This kind of thing (divorce) is nothing to be proud of.

"It is better to keep the reason for the divorce to myself," he said. He added that he and Linda still support each other and want what is best for both themselves and their children.

"There is nothing to disclose or share with the public.

"Our relationship remains amicable, and by God's grace, the children have accepted it maturely. There is no conflict between us," he said.

Que and Linda married on February 14, 2009. They have two daughters from the marriage: Tengku Ratu Haidar, 15, and Tengku Cleopatra Haidar, 12.

Linda was previously married and has a 24-year-old son, Qalif Khan, from that marriage.

In another development, Que expressed joy that the drama he directed, Bahalol, bagged four major awards at the ceremony.

"I am happy with this victory, but all the top five candidates who competed were really good.

"I got the idea for this drama two years ago," he said.
