Socso raises workers salary ceiling to RM6,000 from Oct 1

PETALING JAYA: The Socso insured salary ceiling for workers has been raised from RM5,000 to RM6,000 effective Tuesday (Oct 1).

In a post on Instagram, Socso said that starting from Tuesday, all workers employed under a service contract or apprenticeship must be registered and contributing to Socso subject to a ceiling based on the worker's salary of RM6,000.00 per month.

This comes following amendments made to the Employee Social Security Act 1969 and the Employment Insurance System Act 2017.
