ACTRESS Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, 40, caused quite a stir when she headed to the Syariah Court in Shah Alam, Selangor, for her divorce proceedings accompanied by five bodyguards.

Her manager Iman Tang said the bodyguards’ presence on Wednesday was a precautionary measure to prevent unwanted incidents, reported Berita Harian.

“Whenever she has an event, Fazura will get the services of a bodyguard as there have been incidents of rude people coming up and pulling at her,” he said.

Tang said fans had leaned in to touch Fazura and once, a fan got too close in an attempt to take a photo, resulting in both him and Fazura getting hurt.

But he said he had instructed all assigned bodyguards not to be rough with the media.

“Most of the media are our friends, so there’s no need to be rough. I have reminded them many times and they understand,” he added.
