The ‘king’ died as he lived – on his delivery bike

HE was known among his counterparts as the “king of delivery orders” for working 16 to 18 hours a day, delivering food in China’s Hangzhou city.

But on Sept 5, the 50-something man died in his sleep on his electric bicycle, Sin Chew Daily reported.

He had taken a short nap on his bicycle at about 9pm and never woke up. Other delivery riders discovered his motionless body a few hours later.

Paramedics arrived at the scene but were unable to revive him.

It was later learnt that the deceased worked full time as a food delivery rider and was known to accept any order that came his way.

He earned about 500 yuan (RM306) a day.

An Internet user who knew the man said he worked long hours because he was the “pillar supporting his whole family”.

“May he rest in peace. I hope he does not have to work so hard in his next life.”

> Taiwanese actress Joe Chen, who will be holding her wedding reception in Langkawi later this month, called out a “fan” who had been harassing her on social media and suggested she seek mental health support, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Apparently, the “fan” had been leaving abusive comments on Chen’s social media posts ever since the celebrity married a Malaysian two years ago.

“You have never accepted that I can have a love life. If you are unwell, you should seek psychological help,” said Chen, 45.

Despite her account being banned, the fan would create new ones and repeat her behaviour.
