Missing teen's younger sibling was last person to contact her, say cops

PETALING JAYA: Lin Yu Cheng's younger sibling managed to contact her on WhatsApp on May 28, three days after her father noticed she was missing.

"However, when her father tried to call her on subsequent days, his calls were not answered," Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Ja'afar.

"On June 28, her father tried to call her again and discovered that the phone line was no longer active," he said when contacted on Tuesday (Aug 6).

Her father then discovered that the missing girl had a tattoo on her arm after viewing the girl's Instagram on Monday (Aug 5).

"He believed she was at an entertainment outlet. After 73 days of not returning home, her father lodged a police report," he said.
