Cops seek public's help to find 17-year-old girl missing since Sunday in Ukay Heights

AMPANG: The police are seeking public help to trace a 17-year-old girl who has been missing since Sunday (July 5).

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Khairul Anuar Khalid said the teenager, identified as Qaseh Atika Mohd Naim Abdullah, was last seen at Ukay Perdana.

He said the girl’s father lodged a police report after discovering at about 8pm on July 5 that his daughter was no longer at home.

"The police were also informed by the school that the teenager did not attend classes on July 6," he said in a statement on Tuesday (July 7).

He added that the complainant was unsure why his daughter had left home, noting that there had been no misunderstanding or dispute prior to her disappearance.

Khairul Anuar said the missing teenager is about 157cm tall, weighs 45kg, has a slim build and a brown complexion.

He urged members of the public with information on her whereabouts to contact the Ampang Jaya district police headquarters control centre at 03-4289 7222 or investigating officer Insp Nur Faizah Mohd Anuar at 017-342 2804.

"They can also provide information at the nearest police station," he said.

He advised parents and guardians to closely monitor the movements of children under their care and not allow them to be alone unnecessarily. He also urged them to contact the police or the MERS 999 emergency line if immediate assistance is needed.
