Woman stabbed to death in public by husband

A MAN in India who stabbed his wife to death in broad daylight was apprehended by those who witnessed the killing, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Megala, 25, who has two daughters, reportedly separated from her first husband and was living with her mother in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu.

She met and became friendly with a man known as Manikandan.

They eventually got married and she moved in with him into a rental house.

But the couple had a falling out and Megala apparently stopped talking to him about a month ago. She even lodged a report against him.

Police called in both parties for questioning and apparently sent them both home after counselling.

Two days ago, while Megala was working at her mother’s stall, Manikandan confronted her for not speaking to him and avoiding him.

He pulled out a knife and stabbed Megala repeatedly in the back and tried to run away. However, bystanders who saw the attack caught him and tied him to a pole until police arrived.

Megala died from massive blood loss while Manikandan was arrested.
