SPM 2023 records declining trend in science stream students, says Chang

KUALA LUMPUR: The total number of 2023 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students taking science and mathematics subjects has shown a declining trend over the past six years, according to Chang Lih Kang (pic).

The Science, Technology and Innovation Minister said that based on analysis conducted by the Malaysian Science and Technology Information Centre (Mastic), the downward trend includes Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
