National Day celebration to be held in Putrajaya, Malaysia Day in Sabah, says Fahmi

PETALING JAYA: Putrajaya will once again host this year's National Day celebrations while Sabah will host celebrations for Malaysia Day, says Fahmi Fadzil.

The Communications Minister said the decision was made in Tuesday's (May 21) Cabinet meeting.

"The exact location for Malaysia Day celebrations will be announced after a meeting between me and Datuk Christina Liew," he told reporters in Putrajaya on Tuesday.

Fahmi said further details, including the theme and logo, will only be announced later.

This is the fifth time the administrative capital will host National Day and has done so in 2003, 2005, 2018 and 2019.

In 2023, the national-level Malaysia Day celebration was held in Kuching, Sarawak.
