Dr Wee, Johor MCA exco to pay visit to MB, discuss Chinese community issues

JOHOR BARU: Johor MCA will pay a courtesy visit to Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi and present him with a memorandum on Monday (April 15), says party president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

Dr Wee said that since becoming the state MCA chairman, he has been paying courtesy calls on the Johor Mentri Besar every year to discuss issues related to the people, especially the Chinese community.

“Every year, except during the movement control order (MCO), I have been leading the Johor MCA exco to pay a courtesy visit to the Mentri Besar and present to him the various issues closely related to the people raised by the Johor MCA divisions.

“Johor MCA has always taken the initiative to be the bridge between the people and the state government to ensure that the interest and welfare of the people, especially those concerning the Chinese community, are taken care of,” the Ayer Hitam MP said in a Facebook post on Sunday (April 14).

Dr Wee said this after chairing the Johor MCA exco meeting on Sunday (April 14) to go through the draft of the memorandum that will be presented to the Johor Mentri Besar.
