ACTRESS and singer Diana Danielle (pic) has ruled out surgery as a means of losing weight, Berita Harian reported.
She said she did not respond to an offer for free bariatric surgery that was sent to her via Instagram.
“When I received the direct message, I asked myself whether my body is that bad.
“Despite being offered free surgery, I opted not to do it as my problem is not that I cannot lose weight at all.
“I only lack the motivation as I like to eat and I do not like feeling hungry.
“To me, going for surgery is too much,” said Diana, 33, after the launch of a health product recently.
She said her ideal weight could be achieved if she goes on a diet and adopts a healthy lifestyle.
“Control my eating habits, always be active and get enough sleep,” she added.
Her husband Farid Kamil was also not agreeable to her doing such surgery.
“If we become overweight, we owe it to ourselves to lose it naturally,” he said.
> Celebrity Neelofa, who drew flak for her advice to a radio caller, has admitted to her own shortcomings, Kosmo! reported.“It was a spontaneous reaction.
If I had more time, I could have expanded on the matter more,” she said.Neelofa, 35, had been accused of lacking empathy when a listener had called in during the celebrity’s guest appearance on a radio show to share her sorrow of having to care for her two younger siblings after their mother walked out on them to marry someone else.
The radio caller said she was still resentful although her mother had tried to touch base with them again later.
Neelofa advised the caller to forgive her mother, saying that the bond with a mother is an enduring one no matter how awful a person has been as a mother.
Her advice drew criticism from listeners who felt she had not been sensitive to the plight of the caller and that she should not have acted as though she was an accredited counsellor.
Subsequently, Neelofa said that she is open to the views expressed by the public.
“I am not an ustazah (female religious teacher), but I was sharing a bit of what I know,” she added.
