Two killed, two hurt in Puchong factory blast


KUALA LUMPUR: An explosion at a factory in Puchong Utama industrial park has killed two workers and injured two others.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the explosion, which occurred at 10.14am Friday (Feb 23), was caused by a high concentration of acetylene gas.

"Ventilation efforts at the site are still ongoing," he said in a statement, adding that medical personnel were at the scene helping the injured.
