Cabinet reshuffle: Sivakumar accepts being dropped, thanks everyone at ministry

PETALING JAYA: Batu Gajah MP V. Sivakumar accepts his dismissal as a member of the Cabinet.

He also said he had tried his best to perform throughout his one-year tenure as Human Resources Minister.

"I would like to thank everyone in the ministry who had worked with me," he said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday (Dec 12).

He also took the opportunity to congratulate the new Cabinet line-up.

Earlier, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had announced a Cabinet reshuffle involving the exchange of several portfolios and the appointment of new ministers and deputy ministers.

The Human Resources Ministry is now led by Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim, who previously held the position of Deputy Finance Minister II.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Human Resources Minister is also a new face - Lipis MP Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad, who was previously the Deputy Public Works Minister.
