Cabinet reshuffle: New portfolio not changing Dr Zaliha's resolve


PETALING JAYA: Dr Zaliha Mustafa has welcomed her move from the Health Ministry to the Federal Territories Ministry and says she will fulfil her responsibilities in line with the aspirations of the unity government and its Madani principles.

"I will keep the Prime Minister's (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) faith in me by fulfilling my mandate and responsibilities in line with the aspirations of the unity government and the Malaysia Madani principle through initiatives to develop and ensure a prosperous Federal Territories from social, economic and community aspects," she said in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 11).

She also thanked Health Ministry staff for their support during her one year at the ministry.

Dr Zaliha was among six ministers who saw a portfolio change in the Cabinet reshuffle.

Former health minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad has returned to helm the health portfolio.
