Rider held over ‘Mat Rempit’ number plate

AMPANG: A motorcycle rider who was cheeky enough to put a “Mat Rempit” sticker in place of his vehicle’s number plate was nabbed by police in Pandan Indah during a traffic operation.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said the district Traffic Investigation and Enforcement division personnel were conducting an operation codenamed Ops Lawlessness at about 11am on Tuesday when they detained the local man, who had the “Mat Rempit” sticker as his motorcycle number plate.
