Malaysian graduates from West Point


PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian has graduated from the prestigious West Point military academy in the United States of America.

In a Facebook post on Friday (May 29), the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur extended its congratulations to Edlan Mikyad Ahmad Syamly on his recent graduation from the academy.

"Graduating from one of the world's premier leadership institutions is a profound achievement. Edlan’s journey reflects not only his personal grit and dedication but also the deep, enduring defence and educational partnerships between the United States and Malaysia.

"By training alongside international peers, leaders like Edlan foster global networks of cooperation, trust, and shared values that strengthen our nations' bilateral ties.

"We also commend his family, whose unwavering support, rain or shine, helped pave the way for this success. We wish Edlan the very best as he returns to serve Malaysia with distinction,” it said.
