Nearly RM10bil spent on treating NCDs, Health Minister tells Parliament


KUALA LUMPUR: Some RM9.65 bil is spent on treating non-communicable diseases (NCD) in Malaysia, says Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa (pic).

The Health Minister said this figure was based on the government’s expenditure in 2017, with the 2022 report released through "The Direct Health-Care Cost of Non Communicable Disease in Malaysia" by the World Health Organisation and the Health Ministry.
