Maya Bay Residences reaches new milestone

PROPERY developers Gamuda Land recently held a topping off ceremony for Maya Bay Residences – Gamuda Cove’s first high-rise residential development.

Gamuda Cove general manager Brandon Yong said: “We welcomed our first batch of residents into the township earlier this year with the vacant possession of our first landed residential development, and we are excited to welcome more residents with the vacant possession of Maya Bay Residences in March 2024.”

He added, “The delivery of this project will be a testament of Gamuda Cove’s mindful town-planning which has demonstrated impressive results – with take-up rate for the residential units standing at 95% and 100% take-up for its retail podium.”

Maya Bay Residences comprises three towers of resort-style serviced apartments of 972 units, with built-ups ranging from 550 to 968 sqft, with 35 retail outlets for its retail podium segment, providing immediate door-step conveniences to residents.

Designed with practical layouts to cater to various lifestyles, including dual-key units, each unit has been configured to maximise natural lighting and ventilation. In addition to that, residents can look forward to an array of facilities and smart home features.

Maya Bay Residences is also one of the first few developments built using Industrialised Building System (IBS).

IBS homes are built using pre-fabricated components or modules, which are produced off-site in a controlled factory setting – enabling reduced carbon footprint and significantly reduce wastage.

Meticulous masterplan

Gamuda Cove was mindfully planned to comprise a unique blend of homes and commercial spaces interspersed with over 200 acres (80.9 ha) of parks, lakes and waterways and 75km of walking and cycling paths.

With a pristine 1,111 acres (449 ha) of wetlands reserve, Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands is located adjacent to the development.

“Given the vast 1,500-acre (607 ha) canvas in Gamuda Cove, we have a unique opportunity to create a timeless community. We're blending innovation, technology, and sustainability with a commitment to preserving the hometown feel.

This ensures that both residents and visitors can enjoy a harmonious balance of green spaces, commercial options, recreational amenities, and more – all thoughtfully designed for easy access and convenience,” said Yong.

For Maya Bay Residences residents, fun and nature is just a walking distance away from the 60-acre (24.2 ha) Central Park, SplashMania Waterpark and Discovery Park.

Gamuda Cove’s first commercial centre – Townsquare, is set to offer retail options and alfresco shops that are seamlessly connected by an extensive networking of walking and cycling paths in the coming year.

The existing e-tram line, connecting Discovery Park to Townsquare and SplashMania will extend towards Maya Bay Residences by 2026 – further improving sustainable intracity connectivity.

Cove Centrum commercial hub

The positive response for Gamuda Cove’s residential and commercial developments has encouraged the upcoming launch of a new mixed integrated development known as Cove Centrum.

Located just one tram stop away from Maya Bay Residences, this European-inspired commercial hub will be interconnected with cobbled pedestrian streets and an e-tram boulevard.

Cove Centrum will be adjacent to SplashMania and opens up to the Central Park, featuring a central plaza grand fountain. This new commercial hub will further activate the surrounding vicinity and provide added convenience to the community.

“Cove Centrum represents a natural evolution of our commitment to making Gamuda Cove a vibrant and dynamic place to live and invest in. It is our way of creating a thriving, sustainable and innovative community where residents and investors alike can enjoy the best of both worlds and live in harmony with nature,” mentioned Yong.
