Interpol Red Notice application for Mohd Adlan submitted, says IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has submitted the application for an Interpol Red Notice on Datuk Seri Muhammad Adlan Berhan, the son-in-law of former premier Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the application was sent to Interpol Asia before being referred to Interpol headquarters in Lyon, France.

"Interpol Asia is waiting for the answer from its headquarters.

"We expect the Red Notice will be issued. We received relevant answers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Oct 3," he told a press conference in Bukit Aman on Tuesday (Oct 10).

It was previously reported that the police had received necessary documents from the MACC to be submitted to Interpol.

The red notice application has to be made by the police.

Muhammad Adlan and another individual are being sought by the MACC over an ongoing investigation.
