Oct 7 Pelangai by-election to cost RM2mil

PUTRAJAYA: The Pelangai by-election, which has been set for Oct 7, will cost RM2mil to run, said the Election Commission (EC).EC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh said the constituency, which is part of the Bentong parliamentary seat in Pahang, has 16,456 registered voters, 36 of whom are police personnel and three are overseas voters. He said that nine polling stations with 30 polling streams would be opened on polling day.

“Nomination day will be on Sept 23, while early voting has been fixed for Oct 3.
