Sabah PKR youth unfazed by exit of two division chiefs

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah PKR Youth says the departure of two party division chiefs will not affect the party's strength or preparations for the coming general election.

Its chief Zaidi Jatil said they remain united and focused on strengthening the party's election machinery.

He said all 25 Sabah PKR Youth chiefs continue to stand firmly behind Prime Minister and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim as well as PKR Youth chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim.

"Sabah PKR Youth believe that differences in views and political decisions are normal in a democratic party.

"However, the priority now is not to entertain prolonged political polemic but to focus fully on preparations for the general election," he said in a statement on Saturday (May 23).

Zaidi also thanked former party members for past contributions and wished them well.

This comes after the resignation of Tuaran PKR chief Mohammad Razeef Rakimin and Tuaran PKR Women chief Artini Ali Taugan, who announced their departure from the party on Wednesday (May 20).
