State polls: Multi-racial contest for Subang Jaya in Selangor


PETALING JAYA: It will be a “muhibbah” three-cornered fight for Selangor’s Subang Jaya (N31) state seat, with its candidates representing Malaysia’s three different main ethnicities.

They are Michelle Ng Mei Sze (Pakatan Harapan-DAP), Gana Pragasam Sebastian (Perikatan Nasional-Bersatu) and Zayd Shaukat Ali (Muda).

The constituency’s returning officer Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim made the official announcement of the election candidates at the nomination centre at Kompleks 3K, SS13, Subang Jaya, at about 10.40am.

Meanwhile, the Kinrara (N30) state seat will see a straight fight between Ng Sze Han (PH-DAP) and Wong Yong Kang (PN - Bersatu).

Kinrara returning officer Dr Mohd Ariffuddin Kamari made the the official announcement at about 10.45am at the same venue.

There are 123,782 registered voters in Kinrara, while Subang Jaya has 111,970.
