State polls: Anwar, Muhyiddin, Hajiji turn up at Gombak nomination centre


PETALING JAYA: National leaders have turned up at the Gombak nomination centre ahead of its opening on Saturday (July 29) to show their support for candidates from their respective coalitions.

Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and information chief Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali arrived at the nomination centre here along with hundreds of supporters at 8:40am

This was followed with the arrival of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who turned up with Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor at the same nomination centre at about 8:50am

Battle-lines are being drawn again as six states - Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Selangor, Negri Sembilan and Penang - go to the polls on Aug 12 (Saturday).

Aspiring candidates must put in their application within the 9am-to-10am window.
