Johor Amanah urges everyone to pray for Salahuddin's recovery

JOHOR BARU: Johor Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) hopes that the public will pray for the recovery of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, who has just undergone an operation for brain haemorrhage.

State Amanah chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said that he was on his way to visit the party’s deputy president, who was currently recuperating at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar, Kedah.

“I was shocked when I heard the news. We hope and pray that he will have a speedy recovery after successfully undergoing his surgery this (July 22) morning.

“We hope that the people will also pray for the recovery of Salahuddin, who is known for working hard to address the cost of living issues the public is facing,” he said when contacted.

Earlier, Kedah Amanah chairman Datuk Mahfuz Omar said Salahuddin, who is also Pulai MP and Simpang Jeram assemblyman, underwent a four-hour surgery on Saturday (July 22) which ended at about 7.30am.

"The operation went well and he is recuperating well," he said, adding that Salahuddin is resting and accompanied by his family members at the hospital.

Mahfuz said Salahuddin was supposed to join him in a ceramah at Alor Setar but skipped it after not feeling well.

Salahuddin, who is also Johor Pakatan Harapan chairman, was rushed to hospital for treatment at 10.15pm on Friday (July 21) after experiencing nausea and vomiting.
