RM3.9bil set aside for phase two of high-speed broadband project

REMBAU: A sum of RM3.9bil has been set aside by the government to continue the implementation of the Point of Presence (PoP) Phase 2 project, involving 3,693 PoP sites near schools in the rural areas throughout the country.

Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil (pic) said the implementation of phase two of the PoP project, which started in December last year to provide high-speed broadband services, will benefit at least 432,300 premises.
