KUALA LUMPUR: The working visit to the United Kingdom has achieved several key targets, including efforts to improve Malaysia's public service index ranking, says Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.
The Chief Secretary to the Government said the visit brought new perspectives, best practices and global strategic networks to strengthen the capacity and competitiveness of the country's public service.
In a Facebook post on Friday (Sept 25), Shamsul Azri said other achievements included the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Oxford University and the Razak School of Government (RSOG).
He added that the trip also helped solidify the public service reform framework from a global perspective and improve government service delivery abroad.
"Alhamdulillah, all these targets were successfully achieved," Shamsul Azri said.
He also hoped the outcomes of the visit would translate into concrete actions and reforms, ensuring the civil service becomes more agile, resilient and prepared for future demands. – Bernama
