Birthday celebrations for Penang's Governor postponed

GEORGE TOWN: The award ceremony and other official events to mark the 74th birthday of Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak have been postponed to October or a date which will be announced later, says state assembly Speaker Datuk Law Choo Kiang.

He said this is due to the dissolution of the State Assembly on June 28.

"However, July 8 has been declared a public holiday in conjunction with Yang di-Pertua Negeri's birthday," added Law in a statement on Monday (July 3).
