Signups for e-Tunai Belia Rahmah to open on June 26

PUTRAJAYA: Registration for the e-Tunai Belia Rahmah programme will be opened starting June 26 at 8am for youths aged 18 to 20 and full-time students at higher learning institutions, said the Finance Ministry (MOF).

Under the programme, successful applicants will receive RM200 through one of three ewallet platforms: Boost, Setel or Touch ‘n Go eWallet.

Registrations must also be done through these platforms between June 26 and Aug 22.

“The e-Tunai Belia Rahmah credits and matching benefits from participating ewallet providers can be issued ‘offline’ until Aug 31,” the ministry said in a statement, Bernama reported.

The MOF said participating ewallet providers will also offer other incentives such as vouchers, cashback or discounts on Reward Points during the programme’s period.

“The RM200 credit can be used at retailers or merchants who accept payments through the DuitNow QR code by using one of the electronic wallets participating in this programme, subject to authorised transactions,” the ministry said.

According to Budget 2023, RM400mil has been set aside for the scheme, which is expected to benefit up to two million youths aged 18 to 20.
