PETALING JAYA: Family members of the Batang Kali landslide victims have questioned the apparent lack of progress in the government's investigation of the tragedy.
Sam Choon Seng, who lost his sister and nephew in the December mishap, said six months have passed since the incident but the government has yet to release the full report of its findings.
"We are disappointed by the delay," he said on Friday (June 2).
Wong Wai Foong, the relative of another victim, said the Selangor Mentri Besar had said in February that the technical report was ready and they could apply for it.

"We did, but there hasn't been any reply forthcoming," he asked.
Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad had said on Monday (May 290 that a full Cabinet report on the deadly Batang Kali landslide is being finalised by the Works Ministry.
Loh Teng Shui, who lost his only son, said the families have written to multiple agencies, ministries and the Mentri Besar's office.
"We did as instructed but have not received any news," he said.
Goh May Yann, a Singaporean camper, said although the factors could be complex, a responsible government would provide reasonable explanations for any delay in coming out with the findings.

Transparency and regular updates alleviate concerns and maintain trust, she added.
Her husband Tee Yeow King said a timely release of the final report is crucial as the absence of a clear explanation is causing the survivors and victims' families great distress.
"We need the final report to move on," he added.
Goh and Tee were at the campsite with a large group of family and friends, including their children, and lost their seven-year-old nephew in the disaster.
The landslide on Dec 16 struck the Father's Organic Farm campsite along the Batang Kali-Genting stretch, claiming the lives of 31 victims, including 13 children.
