24-hour water cut in three Negri districts on May 15


SEREMBAN: Water supply to several areas in three districts will be disrupted for 24 hours from Monday (May 15) morning, says Syarikat Air Negri Sembilan (Sains).

Its Administration Services Department head Azly Azahari said supply to parts of Rembau, Port Dickson and Seremban will be disrupted from 8am on that day to allow maintenance work as well as to relocate and reconnect pipes.

Areas that will experience disruption in Seremban are Tmn Sri Negeri, Tmn Bourgain Villea, Tmn Bukit Kelana, Tmn Melati Indah, Tmn Kiambang Indah 1 and 2, Dusun Nyior, Blok C Ampangan, Tmn Negeri Paroi, Tmn Bukti, Tmn Shah Bandar, Tmn Dato Wan, Tmn Nyior Hijau, Gedung Lalang, Jiboi, Kg Ismail, Tmn Golf Height, Pinggiran Golf, Ampangan, and along Jalan Paroi-Senawang.

In Rembau, the areas affected are Exevalley Orchid Park, Kg Kundur Hilir, Desa Permai Kundur, Jalan Pelebar Dalam, Kg Pilin, UITM, Kg Pancang, Jalan Semin Indah, Kg Baru Semin, Ladang Sungai Baru,Ladang Bukit Bertam/Kampung Bukit Bertam, Jalan Batu Berendam, Kg Sungai Timun Dalam, Kg Sungai Timun Luar, Rumah Rakyat Lubuk Cina Phase 1 and 2, Pasar Lubuk Cina, Kg Nerambai and the Titian Bintangor national service training centre.

Supply to most areas in Port Dickson will also be disrupted.

They include Ladang Tampin Linggi, Kg Tampin Linggi, Rumah Rakyat Pengkalan Durian, Linggi, Pengkalan Kempas, Rumah Rakyat Permatang Pasir, Kg Sua Manggis, Tarzan Estate, Bukit Tembok, Bukit Kuau, Sengkang (from 18th to 22nd mile), Kg Tanjung Agas, Kg Sungai Raya, Pasir Panjang, Kg Orang Asli Bukit Kepong, Jalan Pantai, Kg Telok Pelanduk, Tmn Peranginan Mutiara, Segenting Camp, Teluk Kemang, Kg Sawah Sunggala, Si Rusa, Bandar Sunggala, Padang Tembak Jalan Sua Betong, Ladang Sua Betong, Kg Sungai Menyala/Ladang Lian Hup, Port Dickson town centre, Kg Chokra, Tmn PD Akasia, PD Utama Estate and Kg Dhoby.

Azly said supply would be restored in stages after the work is completed.

"However, supply to consumers in hilly areas may take slightly longer," he said, adding that the initiative is part of continuous efforts to improve the quality of water supply.

Water tankers and static tanks would be deployed in the affected areas if the repair works take longer than estimated to complete.
