A MAN in Rawang, Selangor, had a shock when he received a wedding invitation which explicitly asked for an ang pow worth RM250 per person for those attending, reported Oriental Daily.

“It would cost me RM1,000 to bring my wife and two children,” he said in questioning if this kind of wedding dinner package was the trend in Rawang now.

The man, who shared a picture of the invitation on social media, said he was in disbelief when he saw the statement “ang pow rate of RM250 per person” printed on the envelope.

He said a bank account number and a Touch n’ Go number were also included with the invitation.

The invitation also had instructions for guests who opted for cashless transactions to include a copy of their receipt in their ang pow so it could later be checked at the counter before the dinner.
