GOMBAK: Two passengers were injured when an express bus went out of control and crashed into a drain here.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Mohamed Mohamed said that the police were notified of the accident at 1.40am on Dec 31 (Saturday).
The bus was en route to the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) when the accident occurred along KM443 of the North-South Expressway.
"Investigations show that the bus ferrying 31 passengers from Penang to TBS was driven by a 45-year-old man.
At KM443, the driver lost control of the bus which crashed into a drain and landed on its side.
A 64-year-old Thai woman and a 10-year-old Indonesian girl were injured. They were sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital and treated at the hospital's green zone.
"No serious injuries were recorded. The other passengers were taken to TBS in another bus," he said.
