Fruit fit for a King

PETALING JAYA: The King and Queen could not resist stopping by a roadside stall in Sungai Karang, Kuantan to savour the king of fruits.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah were spotted at some stalls at Jalan Beserah in the sub-district on Saturday (Dec 25).

“Their Majesties were willing to spend some friendly time with the traders and talked to the (stall patrons)," Istana Negara said in a Facebook post.

“His Majesty bought a meal as well as durian before departing for Abdulaziz Palace."

In the pictures accompanying the post, His Majesty can be seen cutting open a durian while smiling broadly.
