KJ becomes Sg Buloh Umno member

PETALING JAYA: Former Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin (pic) has become a Sungai Buloh Umno division member.

Khairy, who is Rembau Umno division deputy chief, revealed the matter in a short video via Barisan Nasional (Barisan) Sungai Buloh's Tik Tok account on Sunday (Dec 25) during an event at Saujana Utama district voting centre in Sungai Buloh.

The former health minister said the decision to move was derived from wanting to resolve pending matters and wanting to make the constituency a stronghold for Barisan.

“I do not like leaving things unresolved, and I don’t think it is fair for everyone because I came as a high profile parachute candidate here, but after losing I move on to another place,” he said.

During the 15th General Election, Khairy contested the Sungai Buloh parliamentary seat but lost to PKR Datuk R. Ramanan by only 2,693 majority votes.
