MALAYSIAN magician Avery Chin scored another Guinness World Record for eating 25 M&Ms in less than a minute using chopsticks while blindfolded, reported China Press.

He performed the feat on Nov 9.

It was a meaningful date for him as his child was born on the day he accomplished the record, he said. “This is to commemorate the birth of my child. I needed to get the world record, so I had practised non-stop,” he said.

He has held a number of records including the most magic tricks performed in one minute, and the number of tricks done blindfolded in one minute.

Chin also holds the record for the most costume change illusions in one minute alongside his wife Sylvia Lim, who is also a magician.

> Malaysian singer Victor Wong shared his experiences with his elderly father and urged fans to cherish the time left with their aging parents, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Wong, 50, recalled a recent walk he took with his father.

The senior Wong told his son that he could no longer walk fast.

“Guan, could you take it a bit slower? I can no longer walk fast,” Wong’s father told him, as recounted by the singer.

The conversation led to the Taiwan-based Wong to face the reality that his father was already 80. He said he also noticed that his mother’s memory was not as good anymore. We should cherish our loved ones, he added.

Wong also admitted about going through now what his parents went through with him when he was younger.

For instance, Wong recalled that when he was 12, he was embarrassed to hold his mother’s hand while walking back from school.

Now, his son Jayden was also embarrassed to be seen with his parents and refused to also hold his hand, he said.

Wong was in Kuala Lumpur recently for the opening ceremony of the Eslite Spectrum bookstore.

> Mandopop king Jay Chou has shown that he is not just a brilliant composer but also a talented pool player, China Press reported.

Chou, who was recently photographed teeing off with professional golfer and fellow Taiwanese Yani Tseng, shared a video of himself pocketing several pool balls in quick succession.

Seemingly without much effort, Chou aimed and struck the cue ball, which knocked a pool ball into a pocket.

In less than two seconds later, Chou pocketed another ball.

His skills impressed many fans with some comparing him to Englishman Ronnie O’Sullivan, a snooker world champion.
