Farm management ‘humbly bow’ to all affected by the tragedy

PETALING JAYA: The management of Father’s Organic Farm, which bore the brunt of the devastating landslide, said they “humbly bow to everyone affected by the tragedy”.

In extending their sympathies to the victims and families of the Batang Kali landslide, Father’s Organic Farm said disasters were faceless but love lives on among the people.

“Our hearts are closely connected with you. May the deceased rest in peace.”

In a Facebook post, they conveyed condolences to the families and asked for prayers for the survivors and the injured.

“Please continue to take care.”

They also paid tribute to all parties involved in the search and rescue operation.

Shortly after the landslide, Father’s Organic Farm had changed its Facebook profile picture to all black as a sign of mourning.

The farm owners had also stated that charity NGO, Fu Gui Foundation, would be providing free funeral services to victims of the landslide.

“The Fu Gui Foundation will provide free Buddhist and Taoist funeral services to all the victims,” said a statement on Father’s Organic Farm Facebook.

The landslide, which buried the farm, claimed the lives of 24 people. Nine people are still missing.
