GE15: Sarawak state government declares Nov 28 a public holiday


SIBU: The Sarawak government has declared a public holiday on Monday (Nov 28).

The Premier's Office in a statement on Friday (Nov 25) said this was in line with the announcement by newly-appointed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Thursday (Nov 24).

Anwar, 75, took his oath as the 10th Prime Minister before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on Thursday.

The three largest components of the unity government were Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional and Gabungan Parti Sarawak.
