GE15: BN to field PAS lawmaker in Tumpat?

KOTA BARU: Incumbent PAS lawmaker Datuk Che Abdullah Mat Nawi (pic) has been tipped to contest as Barisan Nasional's candidate in Tumpat.

"Barisan might nominate a candidate from PAS who is also the incumbent Tumpat MP.

"But negotiation is still ongoing," the source told The Star.

Tumpat is among the six seats that Barisan skipped during the candidates announcement event late Tuesday (Nov 1) night.

The other five seats are Tanjong Karang, Jempol, Kuala Pilah, Bandar Tun Razak and Kuala Nerus.
