GE15 polling date likely before Nov 15, say analysts

PETALING JAYA: The Election Commission (EC) is likely to set polling for the 15th General Election (GE15) before Nov 15 to avoid the brunt of the monsoon season, say political analysts.

“If we are looking at a campaigning period of 11 to 14 days, then Nov 12 and 13, which is a weekend, would be viable as polling dates,” said Universiti Sains Malaysia’s political science expert, Prof Dr Sivamurugan Pandian.
