Zuraida appointed as new PBM president

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin (pic) is the new president of Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).

Party secretary-general Nor Hizwan Ahmad said the appointment was agreed upon by the party after going through the proper process in line with the guidelines of PBM's constitution.

"PBM's supreme council which convened on Friday (Oct 7) adopted seven motions which were agreed to unanimously in the PBM annual general meeting in Shah Alam on Oct 1," Nor Hizwan said in a statement on Saturday (Oct 8).

"Making Zuraida president was among the seven motions adopted and the necessary process was followed on the appointment.

Nor Hizwan said the supreme council prays that Zuraida is given the strength in holding the reins of the party and taking it to greater heights by giving excellent service to the people.

"The supreme council also thanked and recorded the party's gratitude to Datuk Larry Sng who was leading PBM earlier," he added.
